King Nvidia Stays Crowned
May 29, 2025
Nvidia Just Reminded Wall Street Who’s Boss. Let’s cut the fluff: Nvidia dropped earnings, Wall Street clapped, and the stock ripped 5% higher.
Yeah, they took a hit thanks to Uncle Sam banning chip exports to China. That little "policy gift" is expected to cost them around $8 billion in the next quarter alone. Most companies would be on life support after news like that.
Not Nvidia. They just reported $44.06 billion in revenue, blowing past expectations. Adjusted EPS came in at $0.96—higher than expected—and their data center division (aka their AI cash cow) grew 73% year-over-year. That’s not growth. That’s a takeover.
Meanwhile, CEO Jensen Huang basically walked on stage, dropped the mic, and told investors: “Global demand for our AI infrastructure is incredibly strong.” Oh, and by the way, they’re still on track to hit mid-70% profit margins later this year as they roll out their next-gen Blackwell chip. Try finding that kind of margin anywhere else in Big Tech right now.
And that’s why Wall Street is shrugging off the China hit like it’s yesterday’s headline.
Because this isn’t just about chips—it’s about the chip. The one fueling the AI arms race. Microsoft, Meta, Amazon—they’re not just customers. They’re full-blown Nvidia fanboys at this point, throwing billions at the problem and begging Nvidia to keep printing.
Wedbush’s Dan Ives nailed it: “There is one chip in the world fueling the AI revolution—and it’s Nvidia.”
This earnings report did more than beat estimates. It reminded investors why Nvidia is the backbone of the AI future. While the media obsesses over trade drama, tariffs, and political posturing, the smart money is loading up on the only company that can actually build the future—at scale.
The market heard the message loud and clear.
The Nasdaq jumped 0.8%, the S&P 500 is finishing May strong, and the Dow’s no slouch either. Nvidia is doing what few companies can: lead the rally while carrying the AI narrative on its back.
So what’s the play?
If you're still sitting on the sidelines, hoping for a “better entry,” you might be waiting forever. Nvidia’s not just participating in this market—it’s shaping it. With or without China.
The AI gold rush is here. The pickaxe is spelled N-V-D-A.
